The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) is a GEDI strategic partner. Through its parent organization the Global Entrepreneurship Research Association (GERA) it provides the individual data for the Global Entrepreneurship Index. Dr. Acs has been involved with GEM for over a decade serving as a member of the GERA Board for two years, Research Director for GEM and a founding member of GEM Hungary. Dr. Acs has coauthored two GEM Global Reports, one on the United States and all of the Hungary GEM reports.
Through a vast, centrally coordinated, internationally executed data collection effort, GEM is able to provide high quality information, comprehensive reports and interesting stories, which greatly enhance the understanding of the entrepreneurial phenomenon – but it is more than that. It is also an ever-growing community of believers in the transformative benefits of entrepreneurship.
